About the Role
The Operations & Procurement Specialist owns the end-to-end lifecycle of our international manufacturing from order approval through delivery to our end client. Based in Austin, TX with a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesday-Thursday), this mid-level role reports to the Operations Manager and is ideal for someone who builds systems, solves challenges, and drives scalable growth.
You’ll be the go-to expert on international fulfillment at Sock Club, trusted to deliver clarity, confidence, and continuous improvement across all facets of the process, from vendor relationships and product development, to cost optimization and client-focused solutions. If you have 4+ years of industry-relevant experience, this is your chance to lead programs that directly impact customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do:
Core Responsibilities
- Design and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of international orders to ensure quality at every stage.
- Ensure timeliness, exceptional service, and scalable processes to support our direct ship initiatives.
- Source and maintain strong global vendor relationships, monitor performance metrics, and develop actionable vendor growth opportunities.
- Manage full program cost outlook to drive efficiency and margin improvements.
- Monitor shipping carrier performance and ensure full compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Lead aggressive production growth strategy and forecast future demand.
- Lead contract negotiations and analysis to improve KPI’s and Sock Club value proposition.
- Develop and implement scalable improvements across tools, workflows, and vendor operations.
- Directly support new product development through sourcing and qualifying suppliers, and evaluating production feasibility.
- Lead the High Quantity program, partnering with Sales on pricing and fulfillment strategies to increase close rates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of industry relevant experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management
- Strong vendor relationships skills, including sourcing, negotiating, and performance management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to cross-functional teamwork
- Highly proficient data analysis and modeling
- Organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of streamlining complex workflows
- Familiarity with new product initiatives, including product development, costing, and market strategy
- Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000
